Grown in the black basalt soils around Madinah and picked at the tamr stage, Ajwa is dense and almost date-syrup sweet, with a fine, powdery skin. We grade by hand and seal within the harvest week.

Our Medjool is left on the palm a few days longer than most, which is why it arrives plump and glossy rather than sticky. Best served whole, at room temperature, with cardamom coffee.

Sukkari
Al-Qassim
Sukkari means "sugary", and it earns it: a light amber flesh that yields immediately, with a clean finish. The house favourite for Ramadan tables and the easiest introduction to Saudi dates.

Khudri
Madinah
A workhorse date with real character — less sugar than Sukkari, more chew than Medjool. Khudri keeps beautifully, which is why it travels best of the five.

For people who find most dates too sweet. Safawi is firm, dark and slightly savoury at the edges — excellent alongside cheese or tahini, and the one our own family keeps in the kitchen.
